2. Description of the service
Notenda is an application of personal diary that allows users to enter, store, and organize their notes, books and photos in a secure way. The application works in offline mode and offline-first : the data are first stored locally on the device of the user, with an option to sync to a database that is hosted in Europe (via Supabase).
Main features :
- Creation and management of personal diaries.
- Data synchronization between devices (optional).
- Encryption of online data.
- Import/Export data : The user can import local backups (JSON files) or export data to a JSON file that is stored on your device.
- Scan text : The user can use the camera of their device to scan text (OCR) and add it to his memos. No image or video is recorded, shared, or stored on our servers.
- Ad : The free service is funded by thedisplay ofads that are respectful of your privacy (no behavioral tracking). This free access allows you to store upto 50 Mb of data textual and multimedia (photos, documents). In order to give you the best experience possible, theapplication is completely free of advertising during the first 20 days of your registration.
- Coming soon paid subscriptions : Offer without advertising and with advanced features (storage space remote extended).
Responsibility of the user :
The user is solely responsible for the content that you entered in the application. Notenda is not designed to store sensitive data (e.g. health data, banking information). The user undertakes not to use the application for illegal purposes or contrary to the public order.
3. Storage space and subscriptions
- Free users: remote storage space limited to 50 MB of text data (local data is not affected). Users are notified within the app when approaching this limit; beyond this point, they must delete data or purchase a subscription.
- Premium users: subscriptions coming soon, featuring expanded remote storage space.
4. Obligations of the user
- Intended use : The user undertakes not to use the application for illegal or harmful activities.
- Security : The user is responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of the password and the backup of its local data.
- Content : The user warrants that the owner of the data which it adds, and indemnifies Notenda of any and all claims related to their content.
- Management of storage space : The user is responsible for the management of its storage space for the remote data.

5. Intellectual property
- User content : the user remains The owner of books and pictures he creates. Notenda does not claim any right on the content.
- Application : code, design and features of the application are protected by copyright. Any reproduction or unauthorized modification is prohibited.
6. Limitation of liability
Notenda can not be held responsible :
- Loss of data is not synchronized, or due to improper use of the application.
- Consequential damages (ex : loss of profits, data) arising out of the use of the service.
- The overflow of the storage space for free (the user is informed of the limit).
- Content added by the user.
7. Modification of terms
These terms may be changed at any time. Users will be notified by notification in the application. The continued use of the application implies acceptance of the new terms and conditions.
8. Termination
The user may cancel his / her account at any time through the settings of the application. Notenda reserves the right to suspend or terminate an account in case of violation of these terms, after prior information of the user.
9. Applicable law and disputes
These terms are governed by French law. Any dispute shall be submitted to the competent courts of Bordeaux, France.
