Terms of use

1. Publisher

The Pellio app is published by Fabulette, the personal project of an independent developer. Pellio is distributed free of charge, with no advertising, no in-app purchase and no subscription: publishing this app is not a commercial activity.

Under French law no. 2004-575 of 21 June 2004 on confidence in the digital economy, a non-professional publisher is not required to publish their personal contact details. These are held by the site’s host, who keeps them available to the judicial authorities.

2. Description of the service

Pellio is a logbook for pellet heating: you log your pellet purchases and your refills, and the app works out the remaining stock, an estimate of how long it will last, the cost of the season and the servicing due on your appliance. It runs entirely on your device: your data is not sent, stored or backed up on any server. There is no account to create, and no internet connection is needed to use it.

Main features:

• Logging refills, with date, appliance and the batch they are drawn from.
• Logging purchases: supplier, number of bags, bag weight, amount, delivery costs, currency and invoice reference.
• Remaining stock, estimated autonomy, loading pace, and alerts for low stock, empty stock and unusual consumption.
• Price statistics per currency, and an observation of the time of year when buying is cheapest.
• Servicing logbook for the appliance: technical details, warranty, interventions and thresholds expressed in kilograms burned.
• Season summary, from 1 September to 31 August, shareable as text and exportable as CSV and PDF.

What Pellio does not do: no measurement, no sensor or tank-gauge reading, no sync between devices, no sharing between several people in a household, no restorable backup, no notifications, no advertising, no subscription, no data sold on.

The figures shown are estimates. They are computed from the data you enter and nothing else: a missed or mistaken entry skews the result. The autonomy shown is an order of magnitude, never a guarantee that the stock will last — you remain the sole judge of when to reorder.

The app sends anonymous usage statistics, tied to a session rather than to a person, described in the Pellio privacy policy.

3. Your obligations

• Lawful use: you agree not to use the app for illegal or harmful activities.
• Accuracy of entries: the results shown are only worth the data declared. You alone are responsible for what you enter.
• Backup: Pellio keeps no copy of your data, and offers no restorable backup today. Losing, having stolen or resetting the device means the history is lost for good. The CSV and PDF exports keep a readable trace, but cannot be imported back into the app.
• Appliance safety: Pellio is a logbook, not a safety device. It replaces neither the statutory servicing of your appliance, nor flue sweeping, nor the manufacturer’s instructions.

4. Intellectual property

• User content: you remain the owner of the data you enter. Pellio claims no right over that content, to which it has no access in any case.
• The app: the code, design and features of the app are protected by copyright. Any unauthorised reproduction or modification is prohibited.

5. Limitation of liability

Pellio cannot be held liable:

• For data lost following the loss, theft or failure of the device, its reset, the uninstallation of the app, or the absence of a prior export.
• For running out of pellets, for a late reorder, or for a purchasing decision made in the light of the estimates displayed.
• For a failure to service the heating appliance, the thresholds shown by the app being no substitute for your legal and contractual obligations.
• For indirect damages (e.g. loss of profit, loss of data) resulting from use of the service.

6. Changes to these terms

These terms may be changed at any time, in particular if the app grows new services. Users will be informed by a notice in the app. Continuing to use the app constitutes acceptance of the new terms.

7. Stopping use

There is no account to close. You stop using Pellio whenever you wish, by uninstalling the app. The steps for erasing your data are on the Delete your Pellio data page.

8. Governing law

These terms are governed by French law. Any dispute will be submitted to the competent French courts.
