2. Description of the service
Wallabi gathers on your phone the tickets, cards and documents you add, recognises their codes and displays them ready to show. The app runs on your device: your documents are not sent to, stored on or backed up to a server, and no internet connection is needed to show them.
Main features:
- Adding PDFs, images and
.pkpasspasses, from the system share menu, your files, the photo library, the clipboard or the camera. - Detecting codes and suggesting a title, a date and a type, for you to confirm and correct.
- Showing a ticket full screen, with raised brightness and the screen kept awake.
- Loyalty cards: front and back photos, typing a number, colour, favourites, import from a Catima export.
- Library, filters by type and search in the text of documents.
- A reminder per item and optional automatic deletion after the event.
- Sharing a ticket as an image, backup and restore through a file.
What Wallabi does not do: the app does not issue tickets, does not check their validity, does not buy or resell them, and is not linked to any organiser, carrier or retailer. It does not sync anything between devices and does not encrypt your documents.
Detection is a suggestion. A code, title or date may be misread: check what is suggested before relying on it.
The app sends usage statistics, described together with the ML Kit measurements on Android in the Wallabi privacy policy.
3. User obligations
- Lawful use: you agree not to use the app for illegal or harmful activities and, in particular, to keep and share in it only documents you are entitled to hold and pass on.
- Issuer’s conditions: each ticket or card remains subject to its issuer’s conditions, including any that prohibit resale, sharing or presentation on a screen.
- Sharing: the same code is generally accepted only once. If you share a ticket, only the first person scanned may get in.
- Backup: Wallabi keeps no copy of your documents. Loss, theft or reset of the device means their permanent loss, unless you have exported a backup. That file is not encrypted: keep it somewhere safe.
- Originals: keep the originals of your important documents, and access to the issuer’s app where there is one.
4. Intellectual property
- User content: you remain the owner of your documents. Wallabi claims no rights over this content, which the publisher cannot access.
- Application: the app’s code, design and features are protected by copyright. Any unauthorised reproduction or modification is prohibited.
- Trademarks: the names and logos of retailers or organisers appearing on your documents belong to their owners.
5. Limitation of liability
Wallabi does not guarantee that a ticket or card will be accepted. The app cannot be held liable for:
- A refusal at the entrance, at an inspection or at checkout, in particular for codes that change every few seconds, tickets tied to an app or a phone, or screens the reader cannot read.
- A code, title or date that was misrecognised and not corrected.
- A reminder not received: whether it fires depends on your device’s settings and system.
- Loss of data resulting from loss, theft or failure of the device, its reset, uninstalling the app, a confirmed deletion or the absence of a backup.
- Indirect damage (e.g. loss of profit, a missed trip or event) resulting from use of the service.
6. Changes to these terms
These terms may be changed at any time, in particular if the app gains new services. Users will be informed by a notification in the app. Continuing to use the app constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
7. Ending use
There is no account to close. You stop using Wallabi whenever you wish by uninstalling the app, which erases the documents it contains. Any backup files you exported remain your responsibility.
8. Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by French law. Any dispute will be submitted to the competent French courts.
Acceptance of the terms
By using Wallabi, you accept these terms of use without reservation.
For information about your personal data, see the Wallabi privacy policy.
