Delete your data

This is a translation of the French original. In case of discrepancy, the French version prevails.

Notenda has no account. There is therefore nothing to close, and nothing to request: your data is in your device’s memory, and you alone have access to it. Erasing it is entirely up to you, and takes effect immediately.

Erasing part of your data

From the application:

1. A memo: open it and delete it. Its attachments — photos, documents, files — go with it.
2. A category or a whole notebook: delete it from its list. Every memo it contains is erased.
3. Automatically: a memo can be set to erase itself at a time you choose. Useful for anything that is not meant to stay.

Erasing everything

Uninstall the application. Notenda’s local storage is removed with it: memos, notebooks, categories, photos, attached files and settings. The operation is permanent.

Warning: deletion is total and immediate. No recovery will be possible — we hold no copy of your data, and can therefore restore nothing.

If you wish to keep a copy of your notes, export them first: the export produces a ZIP archive containing your data and your attached files, which can be imported back into Notenda. That file is saved wherever you decide, on your device or in your usual storage space.

What about usage statistics?

Notenda sends anonymous usage statistics, tied to a session rather than to a person. They contain neither the content of your memos nor any identifier that would allow you to be recognised: there is no way — for you or for us — to find the ones that came from your device. They are deleted after 12 months. The details are in the Notenda privacy policy.
